With the sun shining in a clear blue mid-summer sky, I returned to one of my favourite, and also lovely and quiet places to paint at Bodiam. The temperature was soaring so I went to a beautiful spot at the top of a track beside the orchard, which offers wonderful views across the valley and being so high up, a very welcome summer breeze. It was a challenge with the heat and bright sun on my board, but it was so good to be outside, once again enjoying the beautiful countryside of East Sussex.
