Biography

I live in the Weald of Kent and paint landscapes in oils, en plein air. I love working on location with my subject live and in front of me – it is challenging and sometimes frustrating but above all it is inspirational and totally addictive. Experiencing nature while trying to capture “that moment” brings me a heightened awareness of sights and sounds. My aim is to allow my paintings to portray my personal interpretation - hopefully giving the viewer a new perspective. Full info regarding my artistic journey to date can be found on the About page of my website. I run Plein Air oil painting for beginners and improvers 1-day workshops in West Kent or East Sussex. Small groups of 8 students maximum ensure plenty of 1:1 tuition time. Alternatively, I can do half or full day workshops completely 1:1.
