That is beautifully drawn and painted, Frank. I grew hollyhocks in my garden a couple of years ago but they went somewhat rampant!!

Your working method has produced a great result. It’s years since I saw a hollyhock.

This lemon coloured hollyhock grew in my garden this year. It grew from a seed gifted to me from a friend on an Internet platform who sadly died a year or so back. Done in my sketchbook with a water soluble pencil and gouache used thinly like watercolour.
