I like this colourful painting

Like this a lot Frank. The bright colours and simplicity. It’s on the menu for me too - I took quite a few photos of cacti etc against a bright blue sky and my aloe vera is waiting to be painted.

That’s a great orange mix Frank. A lovely statement piece.

I really like this Frank. The bright colours are wonderful.

I really like this - striking use of colour for a striking plant!

Nice composition and colour choices. It works well.

Thank you all for taking the time to comment. This plant project is making me take a fresh look at how I portray plants and flowers in my paintings. Look I forward to seeing your cacti Marjorie.

Love this quirky, colourful painting Frank. Those frills on the cacti bring the whole piece alive.

Also replacing Titanium White with Zinc White meant that I was able to keep the colours looking fresh, rather than pale or muddy. 6x8in on CP watercolour paper.
