Cotyledon (Silver Ruffles)
Another for my Plant Planet body of work. I've used a tetrad of colours here using gouache. Wanting to keep the colours bright, I stumbled on adding alizarin to Indian Yellow to get a truly vibrant orange. Also replacing Titanium White with Zinc White meant that I was able to keep the colours looking fresh, rather than pale or muddy. 6x8in on CP watercolour paper.
