Trafalgar Square
Looking through some of my photos for inspiration, I came across a photo fo Trafalgar Square that I'd taken a few years back. I did paint this scene in watercolour (which subsequently sold) but wondered if I could do anything with it using linocut. This is the result and it's a large size (for me) at A3 and kept me quiet for a few days! It's printed on PinkPig cartridge paper, which takes the oil-based ink well. This project has been a big step up the steep learning curve of lino cutting and printing for me, which I find absolutely fascinating!
