Beautiful as always Carole. Love the foreground from the left up to the tree. Nice touch of pinks.

Beautiful, Carole, super composition with the big cloudy sky and lovely foreground detail. Especially like the touch of pink. (Was it done from imagination?)

Thank you Henry and Jenny. Partly imagination Jenny, a photo in a magazine inspired me.

There's something about the submissive lie of a Hawthorn bush that lends itself to expressing the elements and you've caught it very well here sweeping up from the exposed shore. Maybe the grasses might have lent a hand?

Love your mix of greens here Carole, something I've been trying to work on. You've described the contours of the ground, especially the edge so well....the tree done with very strong colour and almost dry, sets the scene and atmosphere perfectly.

Very very nice Carole, lovely delicate touches with the grasses and sea thrift and it really captures the coastal atmosphere.

Lovely expressive work Carole, poor tree almost flattened by the the wind. I like the way you have hinted at the sea waves.

Thanks all very much, as you know I don't do landscapes much but nice to have a go. Always value your input. Thanks Willie, I did think afterwards should have bent the grasses away from the sea as well. Good point thanks.

Superb Carole enough said

Delightful WC - simply painted and so evocative of the scene

Love it Carole. The flowers finish it off nicely.

A fine old battered tree, nicely painted Carole. No major faults keep it going.

Great work Carole, you have rendered very well the windy day. Beautiful colours too.

Thank you appreciate your comments very much :)

all the shrubs and foliage are very well done Carole you have captured the mood brilliantly

Many thanks David and Helen, very kind.

Full of energy and movement, Carole. It's a really superb work!

Absolutely nothing to criticise about this Carole it's superb.

This is absolutely super, Carole! Beautiful!

A bit late in seeing this Carole have not been around but what a nice painting , I love wind sculptured trees, I like the touch of pink possibly sea pinks ? Also I think the wind would be emphasised if the grasses were bent to the right to give the feeling of the on shore wind that shaped the tree!. I really like the greens you have used great stuff.

Thank you very much, appreciate your word on the grasses Malcolm good point ;). Thanks Mia and Jennifer very kind.

Thank you Seok and Val lovely of you to leave me a comment.

This needs no critiquing Carole. It's a stunner as usual :)
