Ah Fiona a true Phipps painting - lovely palette and composition.

Lol....thank you Carol. I’m more at ease with the Autumn/winter palette I think, back to my usual dull colours....lol.

Agree with Carol, spot on. Your style is eveloved now Fiona and I love it.

I’m with Carol. You do this type of scene perfectly.

Lovely lively painting Fiona. Beautiful colours.

Absolutely cracking Fiona, to me it has a very Ted Wesson feel about it but with a Fiona twist.

Barry is right it does have Wesson feel to it, well done.

Your marks have such vitality Fiona, the colours are not at all dull, lovely!

Dull colours NO. This is fab Fiona, the sky is beautiful and the foreground so good, even the bare trees are super.

Jim thank you very much! X I’ve been trying lately to add more colour to my watercolours but to be honest I haven’t liked them much. Thanks Brian, very much. Thanks very much Margaret! Oh Barry, you know how to flatter a girl....lol who doesn’t want to paint like Wesson?! When I first started doing watercolour, I would practice Ted’s trees for hours, they are the only way I can do them now......well, in a fashion. Stephen, many thanks. Thanks very much Alita, very kind.

Nice work Fiona caught my eye

Like this very much Fiona, especially the warm colours in the foreground.

Before reading the comments I thought 'Wesson'. Beautifully done Fiona.

Thalia, Maureen....thank you both very much!

Wonderful watercolours, Fiona, I like your brush strokes.

Many thanks Dorothy and Cesare, your comments are much appreciated.

Missed this one earlier. Very loose and lively and definitely not dull !

Well Fiona I've just stumbled across this little gem..I like it.... the right hand side really works well it's interesting. I daren't put another one on having peaked last time I don't know if anyone has had a hatrick as such it makes me nervous... Lol

Thank you Richard! Ha ha ....go on Alan, see if you can score another hat trick! Be great if the powers that be on POL ask you to do a bonus feature! Thanks very much for your comment Alan.

Fiona I really like the broad and bold brushstrokes of this one. They are executed really well to lend a simple painting with enough details. I hope that makes sens. I also like your varied browns and sepias. Very nice!

Birjees, many thanks for taking the time to look through my paintings and comment on this one.

12”x9” watercolour and pen on Jacksons rough. Came across this in my sketch book, which is slightly scruffier than this.
