Yes I can see him posing in your hand Fiona, great print.

Oh no Fiona, I saw the monster first. But love those birds in hand. Nice one, love the colours.

I see two little birds Fiona! Looks like you are having fun with your printing experiments!

Great work Fiona.

Thank you folks, it isn’t very clear, wrong choice of ink colour really. I’m just playing about with this idea at the moment, it was something the tutor demonstrated to one of the class on Tuesday. How to get a quick and easy print with very little skill or equipment. The one he did I have to say, was brilliant.

Clever work Fiona. She's a lucky bird.

Thanks Mick, I think I’m the lucky one and Spuggs would agree with me...lol!

Well perhaps a darker ink may have been better but the effect is still very striking Fiona and would, I reckon, lend itself to the work you are doing at the moment. I have tried monoprinting and have now dug out my lino to at last have a go at linocut printing - starting very easy (hopefully). If I am not too ashamed of it, I will stick it on the gallery.

Adele it was laziness why I didn’t use black to print it, this blue which I try and avoid using usually because its insipid. But it washes up in warm water, where as, if I had used the black which is oil based.....well, you get the gist. You know how impatient we can get when we want to try something different !lol Good for you, I will keep a look out. I’ve started to do a few....Christmas cards etc.

Looks good Fiona and well done for trying something different. Little Spuggs is obviously inspirational :)

Thanks Louise. Inspirational is one word for her....I have others but none I could put into print! Lol

Took a while for me to see this at first, but I have it now, think it might have worked better with a darker ink, but like the overall effect. Is Spuggs a canary.

Nice experiment, works for me.

You’re right Linda about using a darker ink,I may give it a other go at some point. Spuggs is a Sparrow.....the Bain of my life!lol Thanks Linda. I’ll keep trying Andre, this one not so good. Thanks.

Carbon off-set monoprint. Spuggs and me taking a moment, it’s a bit patchy, just experimenting at the moment. Hope to try a few more of this type of printing, thought I could employ it in the development stage of this project.
