It's looking great Fiona. You are so brave a very exciting project

Very good luck with your course, Fiona - it is always good to extend on's knowledge and it looks as if you have an exciting time ahead of you. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

It's very kind of you to say it looks okay Dennis, as I know, I'm not great at drawing, it's my weakest point I think. Thank you for your support and I hope to do better.

New Year, a new project! All very exciting Fiona!

Thank you Thea. I think having a change now and then does fire up your inspiration a little, even if it's in your normal medium. Just having a change of subject or experimenting, as in your great idea of one-liners proves, it can be very rewarding.

Happy New Year Sarah! Have you got anything new planned for this year?

Hi Fiona, Happy New Year to you too . Thanks for asking about my plans for this year :) I have already started workshops on the Internet with Richard Robinson who lives in New Zealand. He works in oils and acrylics and I very much like his paintings and the pallette he uses. Well worth a look Fiona , let me know what you think :)

Looks like you have started off very well with this drawing Fiona, an interesting composition, can't wait to see results in colour.

Happy New Year, Fiona! Off to a good start, I see! Your description of the process sounds intriguing. You've tackled the shapes marvelously.

Sarah reply sent to your site. Thank you Carole and Seok. Seok, intriguing it is, in fact some of the 'speak' went straight over my head!Lol.

This class sounds good Fiona. Looking forward to seeing the oil painting. Never done any oils myself, but maybe one day....... I'm glad you are enjoying yourself.

Ooh, exciting times! A painting course! I look forward to seeing how you get on... Paint the unexpected... the other students?

Amanda, that's really funny, the tutor says much the same thing. The unexpected is very welcome in his art. It is exciting!

No, it isn't in oil, that comes later after my drawing assessment. The class is held in the drawing (apt) room of an early Victorian house, beautiful original architectural features, and furniture to match. Now the tutor has seen my drawing skills he's probably wishing he'd charged me a couple of quid more!Lol. Subjects must be painted from life with the unexpected to be included......draw/paint as it is, bones and all, especially if the composition is good and there is mystery and unanswered questions in the picture, for the viewer. I found it really difficult to concentrate, a little nervous of what was expected of me. I managed two studies from this first class and I must say after the second one I felt at ease and enjoyed myself thoroughly! Thanks for looking, even though it isn't that exciting.A little clear viewed large.
