Marjorie’s Forum Challenge …The Green Teapot by Fiona Phipps

Comments

Good old Marjorie! Good old you for persisting ... it's worth it.

A bit of cowardice here Fiona! As I said on the forum…” Teapot meets Cézanne”. Where’s the rest of it? I won’t let it lie you know, I’ll hold on to it in my files! But I like this, I do. I like the soft colours. Incidentally Heather…you’re keeping your head down…..😆

A lovely work of art, Fiona. I asked in the forum the medium you used, I can see, now, it is oils

I just love the colours you have used, a beautiful still life, it can hang on my wall anytime !!!

Excellent work Fiona.

Lovely Green Teapot and loose style,, reminds me of Cezanne's style,, great work Fiona!

Well done. Worth keeping at it.

Heather, Marjorie, Carol, Valerie, Stephen, Angela and Lewis …..many thanks.

Great paint marks and colouring Fiona.

Captured beautifully Fiona

A super teapot Fiona.

I’d enjoy a cuppa from that any day.. love the colour.

Love this style of painting Marjorie.

Sorry I should have said Fiona!!

It is a lovely teapot Fiona, you achieved the rounded shape very well. Great use of the colours too.

The colours really make this still life Fiona, it's a cracker .

John, Denise, Chris, Lesley, Shaun, Carole, Val for your supportive comments, always appreciated. Marjorie is correct, I’m a coward. You would understand if you saw the whole of the still life, I think. 😂

Great still life

Beautifully painted still life.

Oil on paper, 3 primaries. About 6 years ago I felt quite confident doing still life’s, I set up quite an extravagant arrangement to paint. I sent the photo to Marjorie who encouraged me “to get on with it”…….6 years later I’m still thinking about it! I’ve deleted the photo from my files about 3 times now but now and again it keeps coming back to to me via email from, yes you guessed…..Marjorie. This is cropped from the larger set up.
