Lovely colours and dramatic

I like this approach Fiona, being predominantly a landscape painter I tend to be looking at the bigger picture. My partner on the other hand is very good at picking out little gems that I have missed, great to see that you have a good eye and it’s produced such a lovely painting.

That's lovely Fiona, love the pink!

Love your choice of colours in this little gem

I think that the splashes of pink make this one Fiona.

Very dramatic, Fiona and there is a lot of depth in it. Well done with the pink touches!

It's true, the colours are lovely - that pink especially - is it because we're girls? JOKE!

Oh no, it's ok, there are some chaps who have commented😆

Love the composition and colours in the bottom half, Fiona.

Wonderful colours Fiona, so very different but oh how well they blend together 👍🤗

Great colours Fiona.

That pink just sings. A smashing piece of work Fiona.

Beautiful, imaginative range of colours, Fiona. You're getting carried away again!

Really good composition and love the colours.

Glad you like the pink, girls AND boys! Before adding the pink and green it was heading for the bin, in fact it might still end up there.....not very pleased with it to be honest. Thank you for your encouragement, I need it with this one. X

Oh I love this Fiona

You've said you're not happy with it. Be happy...it's good. Great use of colour.

Like everyone else I love your beautiful warm colours Fiona. It is too good to bin.

Great colours and rally like your treatment of the trees.

Great shapes and colours, Fiona!

Dont you are bin it, this is lovely Fiona. Like most I really like the colours you have used, very effective

I mean dare - Lol!

Really quirky and an interesting choice of colours Fiona, like it!

Love your trees Fiona.

Lovely colours, love your spontaneity

Great splurge of colour and bold brushstrokes Fiona.

What a lovely lot you all are, your support is most welcome. Having what you feel is a failure can rock the easel a bit now and again.....I should have known from the start it wasn’t going to go as I planned.....isn’t it always the way. I have gained from the disaster.....the pink and green look good together, I’ll use that combination again! Lol Thank you very much.

It's a very attractive painting Fiona . Don't bin it !!!

Don't despair Fiona! I see it as a very colourful cheerful bit of countryside, it will look beautiful with a mount and framed 👍

You are very kind George, Maria, Russell, Stevan, Carole I do appreciate your encouragement. I won’t bin it, I’ll keep it to remind me of the colour scheme for future reference I think. Thanks again everyone.

This is really good Fiona, the colour the marks, super.

Absolutely love this Fiona. The pink caught my eye first. I am inspired by all the markings and lines and colours. I love the bit of turquoise in the left hand tree!

Beautiful and brave Fiona.

John, Diane and Michael....thank you very much for your generous words, they are appreciated.

This has worked out beautifully. Great colours and shapes as always.

Gudrun, thank you!

I love the drama in your work, this doesn’t disappoint.

Jacqueline, thank you, you are very kind.

Just having a catch up of your latest postings. I agree that the pink has worked well. I don't understand why no-one has commented on the two birds beak to beak bottom left!!!

Oh yes Carol! I hadn’t noticed them. Thank you for chasing me up and your lovely comment.

12”x10” semi abstract in mixed media..watercolour, gouache, ink, wax crayon. Out walking yesterday, took the opportunity to get a couple of photo’s and sketches. This discarded fence along with stakes made me think of how we edit our sketches/paintings and photos, in a way, to discard them also.
