Grey November Afternoon

Comments

Has a nice loose feel. A good November pallete.

Thanks Stephen, the greys and umbers are a natural choice for a day like today.

Like the trees, and the hint of the fence. Autumnal - Yes.

A really lovely painting has a nice feel to it.

Spot on in every respect Fiona

Beautiful!

Looks rain drenched Fiona, love how you captured the trees with just a few brushmarks.

This is how the countryside looks at the moment. Soaking wet everywhere. You have captured this November perfectly Fiona.

You done it again Fiona...

Many thanks Richard, Paul, Dennis, Rachel, Carole, Carole, Sylvia for your continued kindness. It’s still miserable but at least it’s warmer! Lol

Margaret thank you! Bet you’ve had the same sort of weather?

This is fab, Fiona. Same misty weather on the Belgian coast today.

Like it a lot Fiona

Lovely loose work Fiona

Love the soft colours - and the bird’s a nice touch!

Thank you Mia, I don’t think many places are escaping the damp weather at the moment. Dermot, Heather many thanks for your comments. Jenny, the birds were not intentional, I flicked my brush accidentally and didn’t want to start scrubbing the marks out. A happy accident in this case......my husband thought I was very clever to include a couple of our local buzzards...lol. Thanks for your comment.

It simply works well Fiona. Well worth those 100 yards.

Thanks John, and not too much of a slog those hundred yards! Lol

This speaks November 2019 to me. Fabulous work x

Tracy, thank you. Yes it’s been quite miserable hasn’t it?

Now I nearly missed this Fiona! How cute....!!!!

Why thank you Guy!

If only I had the courage to put figures into my paintings Michael! As you say, it would finish it off a treat......thank you for your comment.

Watercolour in sketchbook. It’s been a dark and grey November day here, didn’t want to go far to sketch. A hundred yards was about my limit. There are a couple of beech trees in the corner of the field opposite and although they look regimented they looked suitably blurry.
