Full of movement and air, I love it , splodges included.

Great watercolour Fiona

That sky looks suitably threatening and the trees are moving with the wind, nice work Fiona.

It does look very stormy Fiona and I hope you didn't get it too badly where you are. Lovely watercolour!

Lovely powerful sky contrasting beautifully against the trees and the delicately rendered black fence and the brown of the land

Lots of movement in this. A very blustery day. Beautifully painted

Great picture, Fiona. Actually, I like the pen work on the fence AND the birds. Anyway, it all hangs together beautifully. Ten minutes!! Good grief! I wouldn't even think about attempting it.

Super work Fiona!! you've really captured the rough weather. Particularly like the clouds and the birds.

So you suffered from wind yesterday too Fiona :) This is brilliant for a ten minute sketch, you can see and feel the wind in this, especially in that sky and those "ink splodges" add to the overall feeling of debris blowing around in the gale.

I certainly can feel the wind here Fiona! Love that sky.

It's brilliant, what on earth are you apologizing for??? Working at speed, you've caught the moment - which is when watercolour works at its best.

Thanks everyone, I think this view was a familiar one with lots of people, hope you all came out from it unscathed. Thanks again. x

Totally spontaneous, full of movement and directness...Having driven through the valley in a fiercely high wind, it makes me tremble anew.....Love it!

Sorry for the trauma Ruth and thank you for your comment.

Thanks Gudrun!

Really gorgeous work, Fiona! There's so much life and atmosphere in this piece.

Thank you very much Seok!

A quick 10 minute pen & wash of the awful weather today! Huge heavy clouds and bent trees. Apologies for the splodges of ink in the foreground and my almost pterodactyl like birds. I was in a hurry! Okra paper, U. marine, B. umber, L. red and ink.
