Stoer Beach by Fiona Phipps

This morning, we walked on the beach from Blankenberge to Wenduine (5km) and back and it was exactly like this, except for the rocks (we have sandy beaches all along)! Looking at this lovely picture, I immediately remembered the feeling I had this morning, Fiona. Stunning!

Fiona, this is absolutely lovely! Every element of the picture is beautifully painted. The rocks are great and so well depicted, particularly the way they rest in the sands. I cannot praise this enough! Well done!

Just lovely. Dare I say that I prefer your oil paintings to your watercolours. You are excellent in both mediums, but with the oils you seem to get that extra depth and atmosphere. This is so beautifully painted and the colours are just perfect. Love the foreground detail as well.
