A really lovely drawing full of life and feeling. I love old trees, and this is beautifully observed, including the bird on a branch.

This tree is growing at the foot of the Cleveland hills, and is estimated to be c.600 years old. The trunk is split into three, but it’s still alive - buds were visible when we saw it last week. There’s a website called the Ancient Tree Forum where you can find, and add, any ancient trees in your area - worth a look! A3, charcoal on Ingres paper.
