Lovely, sparrows I believe. Used to be so common but now in decline sadly

Beautifully painted, the detailing is really good.

This is a beautiful grouping, so sad we don't see many of them now

Goodness, there’s some work gone into this beautiful piece!

That’s my hankie coming out again Emma! So beautiful, and I can hear the cacophony of the youngsters chirping away.

Very nicely done Emma . I know why folks don't see so many , they are all in our garden hedges . Sometimes I think we have more birds than hedge ! They cost a fortune in bird seed

Superb artwork 👌

Thanks all! Sorry Fiona, I know you’ll always miss her. Dave - I think you and I must have Hilary and Heather’s share, and it’s astounding how much seed they get through each day. We have 25-30 at the moment (it’s tricky to get an exact count).

This is a superb painting Emma. The details on the sparrows is stunning!

This is lovely

Such a charming group and I admire all the lovely detail you have managed to include.

Delightful.... there are a lot in my garden as well... very well fed.

Beautifully done. We see a lot of house sparrows locally.

Wonderful painting Emma your sparrows look so real because you put so much detail in brilliant job

Beautiful natural setting Emma.

Beautiful composition.

There are plenty here too, and I love the way they have constant chatter and movement, flitting around - you've captured their liveliness so well Emma.

Thanks everyone!

How delightful, Emma!

Thanks Shirley.

So beautifully rendered!

Thanks Romila.

They are gorgeous!

Thanks Linda.

The male house sparrows look after the youngsters once they’ve fledged. When they’re not eating, they sit in the bushes and preen. Watercolour on CP, 14 x10".
