Eiders in eclipse by Emma Price
The male eiders are now moulting into ‘eclipse’ plumage, which is mottled brown-and-white. They can’t fly much while this happens. This group were dozing and preening on the rocks, making lovely abstract patterns and shapes on a grey morning. Ink and watercolour on HP paper, 11x14"
