Both of these portraits are stunning, Duncan. The simplicity of the white and your gentle treatment of the girl's face makes for such a sympathetic view of the subject. Just love them both.

I, too, really admire your portraits, Duncan, for the same reasons as Thea. There's something very special about the colours and the delicacy with which you've portrayed them. I keep coming back to them...

Thank you, Thea, Jane, Sue and Petra. I really appreciate your comments. I feel (I'm certain) that I'm struggling a bit at the moment and some nice words from friends is a real tonic. My next posting might just be an oil painting so please don't miss it just because it looks nothing like I've done before. I've not abandoned pastels, but I feel compelled to move from something that I feel I'm becoming just a little bit too comfortable with.
