This is really good Paul. Love how you have drawn the nets and the intense concentration of the fisherman.

Extremely good Paul, you should do more figure work (the netting is great too!)

This is really good Paul.

This is good. He’s absorbed in his work, something that isn’t always easy to get right.

Super figure work Paul.

Thank you all for your kind comments , I do enjoy doing these sketch I think it’s the challenge of getting the posture right must work on facial features something I find difficult.

Like that a lot, Paul!!

A superb job Paul, tells a story.

A great image Paul, he's so engrossed in his work.

David , Carole , Val and Maureen thank you for you very kind comments.

Really good figure study Paul

Good figure Dixie and I like the way you’ve drawn the nets.

Lovely piece of work, Dixie. Interesting foot ware. Is it just the way the sunlight has filtered over the foot?

Thank you a Russell , Tessa and Carol . Just one of those things Carol that I didn’t do intentionally, reminds me of back in the mid sixties seeing a old Chines fisherman with a rubber pad from a tyre held with rope around his feet , original flip flops .

Good subject well painted, Paul!

Great figure Paul, love it

Thanks Romila, I appreciate your comment.

Excellent, Paul, you've really caught his character.

Thank you Sandra, I enjoyed doing this despite finding figure’s difficult, I usually avoid doing them.

A5 Indian ink , dip pen and caramel brown ink from a fountain brush pen. Just a doodle really trying out some toned paper I recently bought, very nice it is too, good thickness. Scene is an old fisherman repairing nets , apparently lots of the older fishermen took to net repairs and making once the were to old of unable to go to sea anymore.
