Thank you Romila and Carole I appreciated your comments very much. Carole I was attracted to the photo because of the way the lady looked, she seemed almost in a dream world, life must have been very difficult in those days.

I like this picture very much as it reminds me of my Grandma, she used to take me out when I was just a tot to collect wood for the fire. Thanks for the memory.

A4 watercolour from a 1905 b&w photo. I don’t normally do people as the main feature in my paintings, this is the first one I’ve tried. Room for improvement but non the less quite pleased with it.
