Lovely and fresh Paul

A fine depiction of a lovely time of year. Some trees down here are budding and about to open, but many not so far advanced. Two small trees in my garden, one with buds forming, the other fast asleep. April will see all that change.

Best time of the year, a nice reminder and a good format too.

Excellent look at springtime Paul, good one.

Lovely Spring woodland - good work, Paul!

A lovely fresh approach to an inspiring scene Paul. Love the softness of this.

The best season I think Paul. Lovely and fresh.

Thank you for the very kind comments they are all appreciated.

Lovely painting Paul

Thank you Martin and Ravindra I appreciate your comments.

Great composition and feeling of light and space. The season and time of day shines through.

Good spring colours and depth.

Wish I were there - colours and wide format work perfectly.

Nick , David and Sandra thank you for your comments.

Love the space and light before the shade Paul.

Thank you Fiona , often when I was working in the beech woods especially early morning there was a fine mist that caused a glow under the tree’s beautiful to see but didn’t last long .

Thank you Maureen I appreciate your comment .

Beautiful and calming

Watercolour the scene is of a beech woodland in the early spring, very open at this time of year before all the leave open on the trees , then it’s very shaded and quite moody looking. More open where the big trees have been removed and the younger trees have fully developed and are still growing hight before getting width . The cross over to spring leaves are still on the ground with odd grassy patches often with dog violets growing in amongst them.
