I love it Diane, such beautiful colours and mood. I can’t think why you’re not happy with it ( but I know how self- critical we are!).

Lovely, Diane, very atmospheric.

Not certain about the title. But love the almost biblical feel of it✔️

Thanks Marjorie, perhaps I wasn't clear in my comment. This is what the painting looked like at it's best. It now does not exist as I pushed on too far and ruined it completely. I liked it when it was at this stage and ought to have stopped.

Thank you Val-Irene, Jenny and Martin. Martin, the title refers to the fact that the painting no longer exists.

Don't know what it is you think you've lost Diane? I really like the moody violets and purples in the foreground and those lovely subtle highlights in the distance are fabulous.

Ah, I've posted my comments just as you were posting your explanation.

How beautiful, shame you lost it but it is so easy to carry on too long!

I think it’s a superb moody piece with an amazing pallet . Welcome to the fiddlers club, or the just add this , we never learn do we . I can see why you liked it at this stage, a slap on the hand you naughty lady .

Superb colours, great picture.

It was a very lovely painting, a nice effect on those purplish mountains. It's very difficult to know when to stop painting!

Love the atmosphere you have created in this painting Diane.

Lots of different layers of mystery in this intriguing landscape Diane.

I love it, Diane, the colours, the freedom, the abstraction... It's very interesting and engaging

It's a wonderful painting very powerful yet very subtle but it must be painful to read these comments considering this image is now lost. Knowing when to stop is an art in itself but im sure you will produce such pieces again and next time leave it at just the right time

The colours, atmosphere and mist in this is stunning Diane, I really like it. You should be proud!

Wow, this is gorgeous Diane. Love the mood and atmosphere!

I like this very much Diane

Super colours

I love this the colours are very moody.

It's lovely, don't berate yourself, I really like the purple mistiness

Thanks to all for your considered comments. I appreciate them all.

Acrylic on canvas board 16x12". Sadly I pushed this one way too far and have now lost it. All part of the learning process but I do wish I would learn when to stop!
