Fabulous work Diana!

The colours are brilliant, well done 😊

Love how you have managed to create a variety of textures and colours within the painting. So skilfully painted Diana.

Oh yes Diana. Super.

What a variety of colours you found Diana. Kippers ( and other fish) have iridescence in their skin, there’s a feel of that here.

Super watercolour Diana.

Really superb,Diana! How you paint the texture of the fish is outstanding!

This is really super Diana. The textures and colours look spot on. Great work.

Thank you Sarah. Beautiful to paint but not a fish lover food wise Thank you Stephen. There were lovely mixes of cold/ warm colours. Thank you Carole. It was challenging getting the soft, paler lines while keeping it very loose. Thank you Sylvia. It’s been really enjoyable Thanks Marjorie. I agree, their iridescent and translucent colours are a watercolour delight. Thanks so much Sarah. That’s a lovely compliment. Many thanks Denise. I used my biggest brushes which , interestingly have some of the sharpest points. Thank you David. A great mixture of wet in wet and a bit of wet on dry. Kept me on my toes!

Thank you David. I love using burnt sienna.

I can feel the soft and slippery fish if that is possible by sight! Well done on ASWA.

This is first class Diana, I love it!

I’m so motivated to read your comment Thanks Collette. It was a no pressure type piece. Thanks Spencer. It was mostly painted using large mop brushes Well that’s the ultimate compliment Guy!! Half imperial watercolour on Saunders Waterford CP paper. I painted these kippers before in oils but really loved looking for all the colours in the skin.
