Cake for Breakfast

Brilliant as always Diana, the light falling across the hand, cheek, plate and finally the finger is just superb.

Full of expression and narrative, with those patches of light picking out the finger, hand, hair and plate so beautifully

Another awesome painting Diana, the light is so good - love it.

Morning Russell. The image was an absolute gem. One of those , ‘I have to paint that’ moments. Hello Carole. I was so lucky to work from a glorious image taken by my daughter in law Good morning Anjana. I’m glad you like it because I loved painting it. You’re right Tessa , why not!! Thank you Romila. I’m very flattered by your generous comments Thank you Fiona. It has very powerful emotions involved. The photograph was taken ,the day my son became very ill and they had little food because of panic buying. I’ve painted it now because I’m so grateful for his recovery and felt relaxed enough to paint again. Thank you Christine and Maureen. Lovely to hear from you. I really appreciate your ongoing support Carole, thank you Morning Jenny. Thanks again . I was delighted to have this image because I haven5 had one. That shouts so strongly to be painted for a while. Thank you Steph en, the lighting,I can’t take credit for. Wonderful photograph. Hello Heather and thank you. I’m trying to paint a portrait of all my grandchildren to hang in my house but every time I finish one, it goes to their home!

As always a beautiful painting you seem to be able to turn your hand to any subject a lovely piece of work Diana.
