What a super demonstration of tone! Just love it.

A lovely capture Diana. Great use of light and shade contrast. Good to see you back here. (-:

Beautiful. Very dramatic treatment.

And great use of restricted colours!

Brilliant light and shadow. A real eye-catcher, this one, Diana. It looks like an alternative view of the Acropolis in Athens, with the Parthenon dominating. Lovely painting. Bri

Impressive paiting, Diana, wonderful light and shadows.

As always Diana great contrast of light and shade.

Love those colours together Diana and the light on the ruins is pretty special.

Well worth the wait Diana...

Lovely light and shade Diana.

Thank you Gudrun. Lovely to hear from you. Hello Eillie. My tutor said to me during the session that this one is all about tone so thank you . Hello Jim. Thank you and yes, It’s wonderful to have time to do my own thing again ... I hate commissions and politely decline as a rule but this was for a friend. Thank you Margaret. I find architectural subjects difficult but this wasn’t too detailed. I understand some of us put the wrong number of columns though. Thank you Marjorie. Mine had a darker sky than the others. Unintentional but ok with those warm colours Hello Brian. It is just that. I haven’t been there but am told it’s a lees k own view. Thank you for your kind words. Hello Cesare. Thank you and good to hear from you. Morning Val and thank you for your thoughts. Lovely to hear from you. Thank you Fiona. I used a slightly different colour combination to the others ( unintentionally) as the image was quite sun bleached. The warm light worked well in creating some atmosphere. My painting looked as if it was a completely different time of the day to the others. Hello Peter and thank you. Completing a commission is like finishing a series of exams. I really must learn to say no. I find it too stressful

Morning Sandra. Thank you for your comment. I’m sure this is architecturally incorrect but I like the atmosphere. Hello Dennis. Thank you. Great to hear from you

Very impressive piece Diana, lovely tones.

Thank you very much Margaret. I think the colours may have been luck as much as planned!
