I like the way that you've painted all the people going in to the tea room Derek. Nice and busy, contrasting well with the solid unfussy lines of the building.

Thanks Louise, I like getting people in. I can't remember what that big black line is and also any roof/building lines to the RH side, but as I said it's unfinished.

A nice happy, relaxed scene Derek!

A very nice, lively piece, Derek. The people certainly add to the atmosphere of the place, which you've captured very well.

Quite a large, collocates scene for an 'on the spot' piece but you have pulled it off very well.

Sorry Stephen you are too kind, I haven't. I had the time, all day and could keep going back to it and maybe that was the problem. Not enough concentration. Thanks Seok

I really like this picture. The strong blue 'emblem' on the front of the building does something clever to the composition, and I love the quirkiness of it.

Thanks Shirley. Clever? It was just part of my colouring and inclusion. I have been tempted to frop the RH side from the large black vertical, but loathe to as it would crop one of the key figures.

The cropped version doesn't work for me Derek. I'd happily leave in the black vertical or even just wash it out a bit and then darken the whole of the sky and cover it ? Now, there's an idea. It might work but only if you don't blame me if it doesn't..lol. You'd probably have to darken the foreground as well which would work well round the white table and chairs on the right side?.. Seriously, this sort of thing sometimes happens in my paintings which is why my skys are often so dark. I just cover up my mistakes and the result can look quite dramatic. Not always!!

Thanks Louise. Constructive certainly, whether I will do it - another thing.

Eleventyeight as my hashing pals called my new age recently, it's supposed to sound better. Trying to paint every day in acrylics using only expired credit/debit cards, and partially succeeding as they're only for me and not show these days.
