Your eye for details and ability to transfer that down onto the paper clearly didn't desert you Derek even whilst bedridden and then confined to the wheelchair, these sketches are beautifully drawn

Great sketches Derek. Hope you are well recoverd now.

Thank you Ros and Carole. Yes, more or less OK now and regaining some of the old skills which disappear like anything when you don't practice.

Let this be a lesson to us all Derek, being ill in hospital is no excuse to stop sketching!

Very good. How ashamed am I that I cannot sketch while you are producing these whilst recovering. You have inspired me to try sketching and keep at it. I have been accused of giving up too easily!

Belated thanks Frank and please do Adele, it's perfect practice to do when getting out all the painting gear is a bit of a fuss.

Always a chance to draw isn't there!

Cheers Tom, any opportunity yes

Just browsing through POL and came across this, Derek. How great to sketch in hospital.

Thanks Sian, it was good therapy. Sketch as much as I can these days.

Sketches while I was in Southampton Trauma Unit early last year. My wife thought it would be good therapy and it was. This a bit of both, one out of the window whilst bedridden and the other from a wheelchair atthe nursing station.

Eleventyeight as my hashing pals called my new age recently, it's supposed to sound better. Trying to paint every day in acrylics using only expired credit/debit cards, and partially succeeding as they're only for me and not show these days.
