Nice strong textures and interesting play between shadow and light Derek. Abstract enough that I didn't think they were sand dunes at first.

Thanks Kal, the textures are a happy accident as I wanted really smooth dense colour but can't seem to get right with acrylic at present. It seemed to work anyway.

Good compo, good colors, a painting well done!

I like this Derek! A lovely abstract depiction of windswept sand dunes.

Sand dunes were the first thing that came to mind Derek, great colours.

Thanks Christine and Fiona. I have been offered a technique to avoid the streaks so will have a go soon.

Great palette and sense of movement = super abstract D

Agree every thing the painter needs Derek. Great piece

Thank you Michael and dennis.

27 x 20cm on mountboard, using No 4 Filbert hog. Memories of my time in Saudi Arabia and inspired by a photo in my Nat Geo book.

Eleventyeight as my hashing pals called my new age recently, it's supposed to sound better. Trying to paint every day in acrylics using only expired credit/debit cards, and partially succeeding as they're only for me and not show these days.
