Once a year, I used to join with a couple of dozen keen painters for a week at Urchfont Manor in Wiltshire. They stopped when Wiltshire County Council sold the place. Wonderful weeks they were and still sadly missed. One pleasant ritual was the pre breakfast walk - a gentle stroll through the village, usually to this location, where we would admire the view over the Downs before heading back to eat a hearty breakfast and prepare for the day ahead. Happy Days! Anyone else remember them?
