I am pleased you have sorted out the camera problem. I know the problem! Photographs rarely does ones work justice in any case. The colour you have used are beautiful and serene - sitter's pout good.

I'm glad your got your camera problem sorted out Debs, now we can enjoy this beauty to it's full potential. Lovely soft colours and features.

this one is very different for you and doesn't it work well? The colours and skin tones are lovely.

Can see this much better now Debs, beautiful!

Thank you so much Gudrun, Fiona, Kirstie Louise and Carole for such positive comments!

This is superb work, Debs. Love the elegant face and the sweeping red hair. Your background sets the whole painting off beautifully. Have studied Charles Reid's work quite extensively I can honestly say that you have made a cracking job of this portrait.

Thank you so much Thea, your comment has given me such a boost as I know how well you know the work of Charles Reid!!

This is very nicely done, Debs - there's such an air of freshness and vitality in the painting.

Thanks again Seok!

Love this side on portrait Debs, so loose and lovely washes, i've logged on to say cheers for your lovely comment on my climbing boots oil painting, i have had a lot of comments on it haven't I! in fact it has proved to be the most popular of any of my postings, you are right of course i should and at some point will do some more oil paintings, but even after 25year break the hassle of oil painting has never left me! whereas with my newly found fun with pastels i can put them down go out shopping or deal with somethings else come back and just pick up the pastels like i had never been away, certainly can't really do that with any kind of actual painting! I even started an acrylic painting and that is still only a quarter finished and been put to one side, after i noticed Terence had mentioned to another acrylic poster who was adding an early work of their's, that they had watered down the acylic paint too much and lost some of the vibrancy of the colour, that made me realise i was doing exactly the same thing on my acrylic! so i conveniently put it to one side until i could get my head around sorting it out! anythings thanks again Debs xx
