Another beautiful pen and ink Debs, looking forward to seeing the next one

I agree with Petra: this is so original and beautifully executed! Love it!

Another superb piece, Debs! I'm really enjoying these pen and ink paintings - love the composition, the detail and the very clever ideas!

Thanks Petra, Mia and Seok, your positive comments mean such a lot!

How do you frame these pen and ink - bet they will look even more stunning in a black frame with a white mount -

Thanks Michael, they do look a lot better with white mounts and eventually will have black frames!

A wonderful series this is turning into Debs, looking forward to seeing the next one.

Thanks a lot Fiona, I was thinking of having a rest from these and doing a watercolour next, but I can't seem to leave them alone!

Such a lot to look at in this Debs must have taken you a long time to paint but worth every minute. This is going to be a very striking set when they are finished.

A really wonderful series Debs, very original.

Aw thanks so much Val and Carole, it's so sweet of you to take the time to comment on this twice [Artyfolks and pol] means such a lot to get positive feedback.

There - I knew I might have missed one!! Sorry Debs. I just can't get over how inventive and artistic you mind is. This is a fantastic whimsical and imaginative composition, beautifully executed in the pen and ink. Everything from the enchanted castle to the jumping fish make a superb backdrop to the three water spirits. Fantasy at it's best. P.S. How do you get the solid black background to look so smooth and dense??

Thanks Thea for such a super comment! The background was just ink applied with a brush!

The Ondines were said to be water spirits, this is the third in the series, so only one more to go! I love pen and ink but I shall be glad to get back to some colour soon!
