It's a damned good attempt David in any conditions, great group of trees to inspire any artist.

Very good result despite the conditions you describe David, agree with you about the Potter easel mine hasn’t toppled over yet and I have painted in some pretty trying conditions (probably tempting fate by saying that).

Thank you all for those comments. Although it's a perverse pleasure achieving good results in such conditions, I don't think it helps my mission to convert the world to outdoor painting!

Not great art but a satisfying result in challenging conditions. Last Tuesday's outdoor painting session was the coldest and windiest since Easter. So windy in fact that my pal gave up after his easel was blown over for the fourth time. My sturdy Potter easel never wobbled though and I think this result from an hour's struggle with the elements is better than I anticipated.
