Oh this is so Judi Whitton (and Thea Cable). I do love this style but I don't like her latest much more "bitty " work. You do this so well.

Nice one, David. Like the vibrant colours and bold use of lots of pigment in places. Adds interest and emphasis. I have to say that I agree with Diana in that I prefer a slightly more finished painting, as you have done, to Judi Whitton's classic style of dabs of paint here and there. I feel her approach often lead to confusion about the scene portrayed and the painting doesn't lose any impact by having more definition. Don't know if you agree this this or not, David.

Thanks for the comments Diana & Thea. Not really sure about the answer to your questionThea, I quite like some of Judi Whitton's work where she makes just a few hints at colour in some parts of the painting away from the main subject. I generally prefer a slightly more finished look to my paintings but that may be because it keeps me in my comfort zone! , I always intend to leave more white paper than I finish up with and wonder if the painting would have been better if I had finished earlier.

David that's just what I meant about Judi Witton's more recent work. I too prefer the slightly more finished look the way you have done it. Many thanks for your comments on my flowers. I am not actually a big fan of flowers; hayfever and an inability to keep them alive LOL. I prefer other subjects.
