This is adorable Russell, especially the bruises and dirty legs. Love the naturalness of this. It’s consoling to know that children are so down in the dumps one moment but bounce back so quickly as if nothing had happened. However, I do feel her pain. You are a great inspiration Russell.

40cm x 50cm charcoal From a series of photographs I took of Sophie playing and running around a park, she sat down in the shade fo a breather and I happened to take a shot as she brushed her hair from her face. I could have called the piece 'Anguish', 'Heartache' or 'Despair' etc but it was a totally innocuous act. Happy Christmas Everyone!
