I just had to paint this owl that looks like it has been dragged through a hedge backwards . It is a juvenile Northern Saw-Whet ( wet more like ) Owl in serious need of a makeover .

Having recently retired from Dentistry and no longer being down in the mouth ( old dentists joke there ) I now have more time for painting . I love painting nature subjects and find Gouache or Acrylic enable me to capture the detail I seem to be addicted to .
