Good work David. That's a sketchbook worth keeping. As a fellow pen and inker I'm always looking at how artists deal with shading, etc. If you don't already know him, google John Baizley. He's a musician and artist, I love his work.

Not sure who she is but was nicely lit so her muscularity was apparent. Still experimenting with how to depict light and shadow with pen. Perhaps should have put in dark background... the 30th and last page of my sketchbook (and the first time I have completed a sketchbook without taking pages out of it)

Inspired by an artist friend I came back to paint a bit at the end of 2017. At the moment I am enjoying it and maybe because I have the patience to look more than I once did I am finding it easier and more enjoyable to actually produce a likeness.
