Well drawn hands, David...they are always tough. I agree with your point about curved hatching to help define shape. You have varied the thickness on the outlines, which is good. (I used to find dip pens were great for this, but don't use them now...{blots!}) But this remains an excellent drawing.

Very good David. I think the density of lines is all you really need to define the shape.

A4 pen. I learned doing this, I feel I could do it better if I tried again. I think I should have used curved lines to enhance the form rather than straight hatching.

Inspired by an artist friend I came back to paint a bit at the end of 2017. At the moment I am enjoying it and maybe because I have the patience to look more than I once did I am finding it easier and more enjoyable to actually produce a likeness.
