She's a beauty David. It's so difficult to show black fur, I found it really hard drawing my black dog but you have done really well with Lucy.

A4 sketch of my cat Lucy, who is so black its hard to make out her form and has no guard hair (she's a Devon Rex) so feels like fleece. She likes to sit up on the radiator shelf when she isn't knocking stuff over, climbing the curtains or stealing from your plate.

Inspired by an artist friend I came back to paint a bit at the end of 2017. At the moment I am enjoying it and maybe because I have the patience to look more than I once did I am finding it easier and more enjoyable to actually produce a likeness.
