Though I like both versions, I, too, think this cropped version is more eye catching.

Its good this has created a talking point, thank you. I wanted in this painting to give the quarry cottage a sense of place , i.e Dartmoor Tors and the Quarry, however i do like both versions as you say.

A lovely painting David, and painted to you usual high standard.

Hard to pick between the two, both work so well David.
