Lovely painting David, the light on top of the mountain draws the eye beautifully. I would have loved to have seen you dodging your wife’s paint.

Thank you all for the very kind comments. Yes Barry i have learnt from past experience to vacate the front of the car!!!! Liz paints in a far looser style than me. Yes thats Naples yellow Barry which is also reflected in the water, then a cool glaze of Winsor blue in the foreground water after mountain reflections have been dropped in and dried.

Hang on Studio Wall

Watercolour 20" x 16" This was painted `En plein air in our car at the end of the lake. The conditions were as i painted it. Liz my wife was in the front of the car , paint going everywhere as she painted, so i got in the back. The storm was buffeting the car..........all very exciting!!!! You remember these special moments when painting together. It was finished off at home.
