Beautiful, I know this forest area well and this lovely painting really captures the atmosphere of the area. It is always a joy to look at your paintings

Ah thankyou Paul, yes Liz and I enjoyed painting around Anglesey and Snowdonia when we lived there for over 20 years. I enjoyed your gallery as well.

Stunning David. I really like the way you've captured light

Superb work. Beautiful depiction of mist with the sun breaking through. Great tip about the bark.

Thank you Heather and Lewis. If you squint looking at the painting you will see how the sun shines through branches and leaves etc

They all said it much better than I ever could, David. This is super, so very atmospheric and I especially love the beautiful colour palette.

Ah thank you Mia, the colours were FU, BS, RAW S and Aliz C. quite limited.

Excellent lighting.

You have transported me there walking along the path toward the trees David, a lovely painting well crafted.

I like the light shine through and the shadow it creates.

This is absolutely superb, love I get the colours.

20" x 16" watercolour on Bockingford NOT This painting is `Contre-jour` (painting toward the light) I used French Ultra(blue) and Burnt Sienna(orange) this mix gives one of the best blacks/darks without using tube blacks. The bark on the near tree was achieved when dry by running the heal of a damp brush down the length of the tree trunk. Sun- mask and sponge and soften off edges.
