The Tors were painted with the cloud colour and then blued for the more distant Haytor. The ancient wall was knocked down to allow the viewer in. Hope this explanation helps.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY Watercolour 7" x 5" This is a sketch card i painted from a photo before Christmas. Sky was done in two applications, first the staining colours in order of applications , lemon yellow, Aliz Crimson and Winsor Blue(red shade). By using staining colours, once dry, the paper can be re wet and the clouds can be brushed in. Cloud colour: French Ultra + Cad Red.
