Very atmospheric and well painted indeed.

Love it. You’ve added such atmosphere. I have a tree ( very like this) which I call my tree. It’s on the way to the beach, in the dunes. I’m always solicitous of it - has it survived the winter etc. Someone hung a Xmas decoration on it, I will paint it at some time, definitely.

Fabulous piece Collette! I love these twisted and gnarled trees shaped by the elements. Full of character and wonder.

This is well done Collette.

Love this. It reminds me of Chinese painting style I’ve tried in the past with a bent pine and lots of space around

Love your weathered tree, lovely work.

This is fabulous, I really like your creative vision Collette.

Wonderful and clever piece.

Interesting… and I like your different approach to painting!

Extremely atmospheric and it works so well on the newsprint background.

Lovely work.

What a lovely painting and what a great observation too.

Love. this.

This is wonderful Collette. The background is the icing on the cake.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I am really grateful xx

I like your use of antique newspaper again, it's very evocative.

Wow, superb painting.

Love this and the fact it’s painted on news paper adds to its appeal ☺️

Love that it is painted so beautifully on old newspaper which takes it to another level.

Really like this Collette. I can empathise with that tree!

I love this one Collette. Beautifully drawn and looks gorgeous on that background.

Acrylic on wood panel A3 297 x 420 mm 11.7 x 16.5 inches. Antique newspaper attached to panel with acrylic binder then coated with clear gesso. This tree is near my home. It struck me that we are all bent by the prevailing wind. We all are pushed in one direction or another by what we see and hear constantly.
