I may have to have a good think about the meaning of this, but it's very well painted, anyway. I've been using birch panels lately, too, incidentally - they need proper sizing, but I've found them a real pleasure to paint on.

Incredibly well painted and a very unusual composition which certainly gets people thinking. When I first saw it my brain immediately gave it an alternative title: Prickly Pear.

Thank you all for you kind comments. Robert: I've been putting four coats of acrylic gesso on the panels, do you think I should seal first as well? Sarah, Heather: It's about being trapped in a hurtful situation.
