38x56cm on Arches rough 300g, There was sunset, when I walked uphill a small street behind my hotel. The signs of the restaurants had been already illuminated. Grey clouds moved slowly over the purple sky. It was a fantastic colour arrangement. I took my sketch book and started immediately to draw and make notes about some features and colours. At home I used this material as a reference and worked out my waterclour painting. I spent some time to mix the right colours and tested them on a separate sheet of watercolour paper. When I was happy with the main colours I started to work very quick, at the beginning mainly wet in wet. Just at the very end I used some dry brushwork and made the fine lines of the power cables with my rigger. I enjoyed to create this painting very much. It reminds me on this special mood in this narrow street in Seoul.
