Sonnjoch (2457m), Falzthurntal,Tirol, Austria, 76x56cm, Watercolour on Arches rough, 300g. From the entrance of the Karwendel Alpine Nature reserve, there are beautiful cross country ski slopes leading into the Falzthurn valley. It is one of my most favorite painting locations and only 20 min from our home. I was attracted by the strong contrast between the cool and warm colours and the rhythm of shapes with the receding mountain lines and the winding ski slopes. Hope you like the outcome.
