Yes, I also find that one painting leads to more creative ideas Chrissie, often resulting in a series. This piece is well balanced and certainly doesn’t lack impact - impressive indeed!

3x30cms canvas acrylic. This painting was first done in my sketchbook some time ago -probably last year. It’s a simple subject but proved quite complicated in terms of managing the colours. I am surrounded by harvested fields at present so it seemed an obvious subject today. The acquamarine/teal colour of the sky followed on from what I was doing with several other paintings in the studio. I often find that one painting informs another that way.
