I finished this a little while back but was unsuccessfully entered in a competition so I had put it aside. Loved painting him though... A young lion I was lucky enough to see in South Africa some years ago. Acrylic gouache on canvas panel 50x70cm.

I'm an acrylic painter finally getting started again after a long break while my children were small. Birds and animals are my favourite (currently only, subjects), and despite planning to start small my paintings are rapidly increasing in size as I regain confidence!
