From a photo taken at Marwell Zoo some years ago. I had to paint more loosely than I'm used to as the board was so rough! Acrylic (soft body and gouache) on canvas board. 40x40cm.

I'm an acrylic painter finally getting started again after a long break while my children were small. Birds and animals are my favourite (currently only, subjects), and despite planning to start small my paintings are rapidly increasing in size as I regain confidence!
