Very dramatic Carole!

Beautiful work Carole. I'm so excited to have booked a holiday on the Northumberland coast this summer. I've only ever been to the Pennine parts of the county and can't wait to see the coast!

This is a wonderful painting Carole. Full of light and drama.

That was quick Marjorie. Thank you. You will love it Sarah. If you’re in Amble let me know. Be sure to wear warm clothes as the sea breeze can be chilly. Thank you for your lovely comment. Thank you so much Spencer, really appreciate your feedback.

A marvelous painting of this seaside view Carole, and Northumberland seems to evoke wonder and awe too! Have never been fortunate to travel there but have watched films on tv from that area and it sparks a feeling of wonder! These old ruins too, they must cherish the historical buildings from times of ancient settlements too, interesting capture!

This is really good Carole.

Marvellous painting Carole

Beautifully eye catching Carole

A wonderful view Carole, brooding and atmospheric, also recognisably your colours and style. Super. I also have never made it to this area, but would love to, maybe this year! Pantings always make it look amazing.

Beautiful Carole, one of my favourite locations in Northumberland.

Lovely Carole, very dramatic.

That was my thought as well dramatic. Super lighting Carole.

Lots of drama and atmosphere in this Carole. One of my favourite ruined castles.

A suitably dramatic treatment of the castle scene plus beautiful water, Carole!

Thank you so much everyone for such lovely comments. Would love to answer you all individually but experiencing a difficult day health wise. For those of you who have never visited Northumberland it’s well worth the effort. The countryside and coastline are so rewarding in beauty and variation of moods. Such wonderful big skies, sandy beaches and bird life to enjoy.you need warm clothes though. 🌞🌞🌞🌞

Great drama in this Carole - the sky and reflections work so well.

As ever, live the way you use light & shade to create drama.

Thank you so much Shaun and Jaqueline for those lovely comments. Much appreciated.

Lovely drama Carole befitting of such a dramatic castle. I was lucky enough to live near Amble for a year and totally agree with your comments about the area

A stroll along the beach at Newton by the sea, provides a great distant view of the castle. The skies are always so different, reflecting a myriad of moods. One of my favourite places. Oil pastels and a prisma pencil for detail. 16” x 14”.
